2023 GARHL PLAYOFFS BEGIN FEB 22

The journey to the 2023 GARHL Finals begins on Wednesday Feb 22 as the GARHL Playoffs begin. Wilson Fire and Dino’s Ginos lead the way finishing atop in each of their respective divisons. The first round playoff matchups are as follows and are all a best of three series

A DIVISION

#1 Wilson Fire vs. #8 Outlaws

#2 The 87’s vs. #7 Hammer & Co.

#3 RU Serious vs. #6 GV Harvesters

#4 Shootin’ Blanks vs. #5 Sunnyvale

B DIVISION

#2 Gentlemen vs. #7 Chudleighs Bad Apples

2022-23 SEASON TO KICK OFF ON WEDNESDAY NIGHT

The 2022-23 GARHL Regular Season will kick off on Wednesday, September 7 at the Sleeman Centre. We are back with a full 16 team league, combining two divisions of eight teams. The 2022-23 campaign sees the GARHL add three new teams to our A Division while, including Hammer & Co, GV Harvesters and another team name TBA.

The B Division has lost two of our original teams within the past two seasons with Billings and Tim Hortons moving on while gaining the Royal City Trashers and The Gentlemen, who move from A Division to B Division.

Wilson Fire will attempt to win their 4th GARHL Title in a row (minus two COVID shortened seasons)this season, which would set a new GARHL Record for consecutive championships in a row.

The Blow Ponies (Formerly Molson Canadians, Baker St. Station and Royal Electric) will attempt their 3rd title win in a row (minus two cancelled covid seasons) in the B Division.

GARHL SEASON SUSPENDED

Due to the Coronavirus Pandemic the 2019-2020 GARHL Season has been suspended for the time being.

We will be updating the situation as we get new information on it.

GARHL SEMI FINALS BEGIN

The 2019-2020 GARHL Semi Finals began on Wednesday Night at the Sleeman Centre.

In the A Division, the upstart, and upset minded, seven seeded Tugboats shocked the number two seeded Bobby O’Briens in the first round to advance to take on top seed Wilson Fire in the first semi final.

In the other A Division Semi final, The 87’s take on the Shootin’ Blanks, who needed a shootout in Game Three against the South End Maulers to advance to the Semi’s

The B Division saw yet another upset of the second seed as Tim Hortons defeated Billings in Game 3 to advance and take on top seeded Dino’s Ginos

The OHL Experience swept Dawson Dental to advance and play their rivals, Blow Ponies, who also needed a shootout in Game Three to advance to the other B Division Semi Final.

The Semi Finals have begun and will continue next week at the Sleeman Centre.


GARHL FIRST ROUND PLAYOFF MATCHUPS SET

2019-2020 SET TO KICKOFF SEPTEMBER 9th

The 2019-2020 GARHL Season will kick off with two full nights of games beginning on September 9th and September 11th.

This season we welcome the 87’s to the A Division to replace the Thirsty Canucks.

The 2019-2020 GARHL Schedule has been sent out to all teams and posted on the website for players to check.

We look forward to seeing you all at the rink again beginning on September 9th!

WILSON FIRE BECOME BACK TO BACK A DIVISION CHAMPIONS

Wilson Fire continued their dominance of the GARHL A Division with a 4-1 Game 3 win and thus a 2-1 GARHL Final Series win over the South End Maulers. Wilson Fire becomes the fifth team to go Back to Back in the A Division as they hoisted the Champions Choice GARHL Cup for a second straight season.

Thanks to all the GARHL Staff, Joe, Jordy, Blake and the rest of the Sleeman Centre Staff for a great 2018-2019 Season. We will see you back on the ice in September. Enjoy the off season!

Wilson Fire Celebrate Back to Back GARHL Championships

BLOW PONIES CLAIM B DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP

The Blow Ponies claimed the B Division Championship by defeating the OHL Experience 6-4 in Game Two of the B Final. The OHL Experience put up a battle but ran out of gas after their two previous series wins. Blow Ponies finished tied for second place in the regular season. A DIVISION: In the A Division, Wilson Fire and the South End Maulers will go to a deciding Game 3 to decide the Champions Choice GARHL Cup. South End Maulers took Game One in a Shoot out. Game Two went to overtime where Jay Milne struck for the winner late in OT to give Wilson Fire a chance to repeat as GARHL Champions. Game Three goes Wednesday Night at 7pm at the Sleeman Centre.
