BILLINGS REPEAT AS CHAMPIONS

Billings Orthotics completed their series comeback and claimed their second GARHL B Division Championship with a 5-1 win over Homes By Hillson, in Game Three and thus win the series 2-1.  Game three was a tight affair thru the first period as the game was tied 1-1 going into the final frame.  Billings opened the game up with a four goal third period, including a shorthanded and empty net goal, for the win.

RU SERIOUS CLAIMS 4TH TITLE IN FIVE SEASONS

RU Serious claimed their 4th GARHL A Division title in the last five seasons with a convincing 5-1 win over top seeded South End Maulers in game two of their GARHL Finals Series, RU Serious sweeps the series 2-0.  Five different goal scorers factored in the win for RU Serious who continue their GARHL Dynasty with their fourth title.

In the B Division, we saw an exciting game two as top seeded Billings scored a 4-1 win in Game 2, to force a deciding Game 3 on Wednesday night at the Sleeman Centre.  Billings broke open a 1-1 tie with 7:18 remaining in the final frame and added two more for the win.

Game 3 between Billings and Homes By Hillson goes on Wednesday April 8 at 7:30pm at the Sleeman Centre.

GARHL FINALS UNDERWAY

The 2014-2015 GARHL Finals began on Wednesday night with both top seeds losing in game one.

RU Serious defeated South End Maulers 5-4 in Overtime on Wednesday night at the Sleeman Centre to take Game One of the A Division Final.  Paul Brydges had the OT winner.  Brydges and line mates Shane Hart and Chris Klimzchuk combined for 11 points on the night in the win.  Chase Trull had two goals and two assists in a losing effort for the Maulers.

The B Final saw Homes By Hillson jump out to an 3-0 first period lead which they would never relinquish as they defeated top seeded Billings 4-1 in Game One.  A Balanced attack by Homes By Hillson led to the win as they had four different scorers in the game.  Game two goes Monday night at the Sleeman Centre.
